Best highlight of my year:

The guys in white from Dearest.

Lead singer Shaun Frank of Canadian band Crowned King. I've got a pic with him!

New Found Glory's frontman. Des, this is for you.

Chris Cron leading Melee's set with Mike Nader on the drums. ♥

Ryan Malloy and Ricky Sans (Melee). ♥

Lostprophets' frontman. Psst, Kevyna!

Pierre (Simple Plan). ♥

David (Simple Plan). ♥

Chuck, SP's cool drummer. ♥

Jeff (Simple Plan). ♥

Seb (SP) looking great. ♥

Adel and I took pics with Jamie Scott!

We took some time to realise that One Republic walked past us backstage.

More of the guys from One Republic.

Panic At The Disco. For you, Adel.

The ever-so-cool Jason Mraz ruled the stage at nightfall. ♥

Alright, picture post ends here. The full 100+ pics will probably be uploaded to my facebook soon. Ask me if you want to know the full details. :]

Sigh. The heat has become unbearable these couple of days. What I want to do when I wake up every morning is to switch on the bloody aircon.

Simple Plan are going to perform in Japan for 4 days towards the end of May without making a stopover here. People are talking about them appearing at Singfest but somehow I doubt so. Then again, they promised to be back this year! I'm keeping my hopes up here, especially since they're not playing any shows near the Singfest date. I say doubtful because so far they're only playing shows in Canada for the month of Jul-Sep. Ah... whatever. My semestral exams fall on 22 Aug till 5 Sep. D:

I just found renewed love for
Jason Mraz today. I'm Yours. ♥ I'm also in love with You And I Both and Life Is Wonderful, among others. He makes soothing music. I enjoy the way he performs and he seems like a nice guy to be around too! Mhmm. (:

It's been some time since I bought CDs... I'm thinking of getting Every Second Counts Deluxe Edition (Plain White T's) and Sleep Through The Static (Jack Johnson). And I still want my Goodbye Blues. Jason Mraz's latest album, We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things will be out May 13! I'll see if it's any good and if it is I'm gonna get that one too. Btw, check out Jason Mraz's official website! It gives me the lols.

Okay, Simple Plan on 'The Noose' was completely anti-climax. I thought it would be something more than just an appearance at a press conference with this dumbass reporter throwing questions about global economic issues at them...

After-O's break is over and I've just been through my first day at CJ. It was more fun than I expected, but I guess it's the people that make it happen. My IG (index grp) and facilitators were good. I still can't remember half of their names though. There's already an IG outing planned for Friday. :O

This holiday practically went up in smoke. I spent the last day of 2007/eve of new year with some of my primary school classmates. Cycled at East Coast, Subway, chatted at some Marine Parade neighbourhood for hours, dinner at Suntec, arcade, Carrefour, rooftop, 2008 countdown outside Esplanade. And I still can't appreciate fireworks! I think it is a huge waste of money for 2 minutes of lit skies and loud explosions.

Then after midnight, the 11 of us (1 more guy than girl) took the night bus to Tiffy's house for sleepover. We took turns to shower and watched tv. Some of them went to play mahjong, cards or pool. I played a bit of pool. Free pooling without having to pay! No wonder some of the guys were at it the whole time. I didn't catch any sleep at all.

Later in the morning, we all left and went for prata! MILO DINOSAUR. Okay it's actually not that nice, I prefer Oreo Crush. After that, we chatted some more at the table before leaving for home. We had just spent the last day of 2007 and first day of 2008 together! A 20 hour outing. Record-breaking.

Orientation day 2 tomorrow. There was a subtle hint that we're going to get wet/muddy. Haha okaaay. But I can't wait for dragonboating next week! CJ's orientation lasts 6-7 days.

OMG EVERYONE.

Please switch on the tv next Sunday at 10pm to catch 'The Noose' on Channel 5. SIMPLE PLAN AS SPECIAL GUESTS.

I was so puzzled when I heard When I'm Gone over the tv because I thought it was my phone ringing, but then I unmistakeably saw Pierre appear on tv and I went OMG!!! I almost screamed but thank god no one was at home. Their appearance was so unexpected that naturally I got super duper excited. Seb is awesome. They are all awesome and I am so going to record the show.

If I'm already getting so excited seeing them on tv, imagine me meeting them live! Oh gosh.

Ahhh, can't wait!

SP in Singapore. I don't know how to embed media on blogspot, so here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jbi8ArAAD6o

"It's really hot... just like me! I'm kidding that's not nice."

"When we travel, we travel in style, and that is why this time around in Singapore, it's a little bit of a rough terrain around the country... so we're taking an excursion bus, to be able to go everywhere!..." LOL. Rough terrain my foot. ily seb.

I was at the airport the same day, too bad it wasn't the same time.

So I went to New Zealand, and it's really interesting there. Everything you see, people like us don't get to see much elsewhere. On the plane to Christchurch, I watched Underdog, Stardust and The Longest Yard. Immediately after touching down, I already saw sheep along the runways.

In all, I travelled to Dunedin, Queenstown, Milford Sound, Fox Glacier and Christchurch, passing many other smaller towns on the way. My parents and I did self-drive instead of following a tour so we had the liberty to do anything we wanted. I was the navigator for my dad so I sat in the front passenger seat with the big crazy maps. A lot of the roads were long and winding, so your driver must be a really good one. We saw many hitchhikers along the roadside, which was pretty cool. One of them looked like Blake from American Idol.

NZ is full of sheep, cows, deer, goats, horses, llamas and birds especially ducks. There were also many squashed possums on the road, if you count them. There were numerous waterfalls, gorges, hills, valleys, rivers, lakes and mountains, some of them still snow-capped because the snow hadn't melted from last winter. It's like you're looking Geography in the eye. Sceneries were breathtaking.

At Milford Sound, we took a short 1h 45min cruise but it was worth it. The cruise got right up to the waterfalls and mountains and we saw seals resting on a rock. I was out on the viewing decks the whole time despite the rain and gusty winds. The people at the cruise centre said a few dolphins were spotted in the morning before the storm arrived.

We also visited Deer Park Heights, where some of the Lord Of The Rings scenes were filmed. I got to feed llamas, goats, sheep, deers, a yak and a donkey. We went up by cablecar to Gondola Towers, where dad and I tried the luge. That's the thing they have at Sentosa too and it's only available in NZ, Singapore and Canada. We met a Singaporean who was working there.

At the cafe, I managed to grab hold of newspapers. Finally! My anxiety solved. Liverpool 4-1 Porto, the sports score update read. Also in the headlines, a rapist in Christchurch hitchhiking at 3am in the morning after committing the act. It gave me the creeps and I told myself never to pick any up if ever I encounter them in future, no matter how fit they look!

Then there was an incident the night in Fox Glaciers. I woke up startled because I heard something go bump in the night. It was 4.31am and there was repeated knocking on the toilet window for at least 15 mins. I seriously thought it was burglars but dad was snoring and mum still sleeping. I really didn't know what to do. The noise gradually reduced to one knock every half a minute. I think it was probably a bird pecking on the window. Hope it was anyway.

Soon enough, it was back to the airport to hop on the plane home. I spent a total of 8 days in NZ and had fun there. The locals were friendly and courteous. Even if you were just walking around town and they passed you, they would say hi or ask how you were. When you stopped for them at zebra crossings, they'll wave to thank you. I'll definitely be back there soon, and this time I'll bring along someone who wants to experience the outdoors with me. I want to kayak and bungy there, and basically try all the extreme sports they have to offer.

What you see above is my custom made blogskin. It's weird I know. I've never made one in my entire life, what more just by using your normal paint application. I played around with it a million times but never got what I wanted. It was supposed to be this 3-piece puzzle sort of thing with polaroids for background. This is the closest I've arrived at, all in 2 hours. Failed... but I really like the image.

In other new updates, I want to do odd jobs to help finance myself for the England trip with Nic in 2008. The problem's that job searching is a tedious task. Actually it would be good if I can find an author who needs someone to type out his or her novel. If not I would just consider working at a pet shop or offer dog-walking services. That's the best. Sounds far-fetched? I think so too. It's as if I'm living in Europe.

I think The Game Plan is a very awesome show. The Rock makes a great actor, which kind of surprised me. But The Game Plan reminds me of No Reservations because they have similar storylines except that the former is about rugby and the latter is about cooking. Anyway, the show I'm waiting for is Across The Universe. Beeeatles!

And I feel like time is flying by as usual. It'll be December in a week! I'm also rather gutted at not being able to catch Simple Plan live in Singapore. I'll be on holiday in New Zealand when they're here for their promo. Even if I couldn't get tickets to their private showcase, I wanted to welcome them at the airport at the very least. Now all those hopes are dashed.

Seb and Pierre, ily bye!

So May is here.

And birthdays to look out for:
May 1 - Gemma Rose Owen
May 3 - Fer
May 8 - Fiona
May 9 - Pierre Bouvier from SP, Lexie Gerrard, Brina
May 16 - Dania
May 21 - Kelly
May 28 - Mark Feehily from Westlife
May 30 - Stevie G!
May 31 - Kevyna

I've already gotten my first birthday present. After waiting 10 long months, Michael Owen made a full comeback to the premiership against Reading on Monday. He looked sharp and even had a goal disallowed for offside. A pity Newcastle lost the match 1-0.

Your favourite team winning can really lift your spirits the entire day. My sympathies go out to my two Manc friends who felt terrible on Thursday. Hopefully we'll be able to beat those Italians for you!

Well hello Athens! Here's wishing a repeat of Istanbul 2005. <3

This guy shares the same birthday as me! Pierre Bouvier from SP. I used to like him best out of the 5 guys, but now I like Seb most. You must be wondering why I'm suddenly bringing up the topic of Simple Plan. It's because today I found someone to go to the concert with if SP were to come to Singapore again! Adel was saying I wouldn't have anybody to go with unlike the Westlife concert since none of my close friends really like them, but finally I found out that Regine quite liked them and their songs! Chuck! Haha :D

So yay! That's all. Now time to get off blogger.

I went for both trainings this week! Shocking.

Lately my liking for Simple Plan has increased. I liked Pierre at first. He even shares the same birthday as me - so cool huh! But now I think I prefer Seb. I showed mum the backing of one of their cds and asked her who seems the nicest. She didn't like Seb. :/

Sorry's Not Good Enough isn't my favourite song from McFly's MITO album after all! It's Little Joanna! (: Ohh, the new Westlife B-sides are simply fabulous! I've been listening non-stop to them the past week. 1) If 2) Nothing's Going To Change My Love For You 3) Solitaire. Their cover of Solitaire I don't really like. Anyways, they were released along with Westlife's latest single The Rose! lovelove. :D

I'm watching Survivor now. It's amazing how I keep watching every season despite sometimes not even having any favourite contestant. When it's boring I might fall asleep but why do I even bother watching then? Don't know why. Haha.

Realised I get bored of my blogskins very easily. Not good not good. Like that I gotta constantly keep changing blogskin leh. So troublesome.

Okay so I went out with Sharky on Thursday. Bought Westlife The No.1s Tour DVD and Simple Plan's Still Not Getting Any... That's about it, since Adel couldn't walk further without any pain. The shortest outing yet.

Then Nic and I went to Clarke Quay in search of the Liverpool store. We found it! It's uber small please. What a let down. We're going again soon cos the lady said new stock will be arriving next week! The lady asked who our favourite players were and of course when I heard that question I started losing my speaking ability, so Nic said "for her, who else but the one and only...Michael Owen." PERFECT answer eh?! Heheh. So the lady started pointing out all the Michael Owen stuff but I ended up excitedly pointing them out to her instead cos I'd already spotted them. Figurine, wall clock, bath towel, bedsheet, VCR tape. If there was a Michael Owen t-shirt I would have bought it. We were all so amused by the Michael Owen towel and imagining what would happen if I brought it to camp.

Friday was spent staying at home. Had some things left to settle after what happened last week. The week after EOY exams, I tried watching some episodes of Goong to see what all the fuss was, but I really don't like it at all (sorry Goong fans!). Those parts without Shin, I found it so boring I kept yawning okay! So it's back to British shows for me yay! xP I watched a lot of Whose Line Is It Anyway? the past few days under the influence of Nic. It's super funny lah, kept laughing to myself like some weirdo. Ant and Dec / Little Ant and Dec are also damn funny. Those guys are so witty!

Thursday's Prison Break? Thank god NICK didn't die! I knew he wouldn't but anyway Prison Break never fails to make me sit on the edge of my seat! It's THAT interesting a show man. I also got to see one second of my favourite character at the start - the German Shepherd. Haha!

I'm going to be damn sad. When I'm away for OBS, I'd be missing that week's Prison Break and the Champions League group phase match [Liverpool vs PSV Eindhoven]. And if Westlife's The Love Album is going to be released on the 20th, I won't get to listen to it until the 24th! Aaaah!

Ate Mos Burger today! I love their Yakiniku rice burger and apple soda man. Tried to study the Coasts chapter for geog but it's like roughly 36 pages long?! Obviously couldn't finish; I only managed to cover the waves portion. You know what? I actually find the different types of coastal landforms very interesting. Cliffs, caves, tombolos, plateaus, offshore bars, coastal dunes etc. I know I know, you're probably thinking how weird I am now. Heh. Okay whatever. xP

Today was basically spent balling. Sri and Des bought new basketballs! They both got the same one and it's pwettier than mine! I like the dark brownish colour a lot. And the feel of new, if you get what I mean. Mine's already so worn out...I want to get a new one soon! I LOVE the feel of leather basketballs but I can't get them. They're more costly and suited mainly for indoor basketball.

Anyway I'm towning with Shmianky tmr! I wanna get Simple Plan's Still Not Getting Any and McFly's Room On The 3rd Floor if the prices have gone down. Also searching for a wallet, sports shorts, shoes and any nice tops.
