Wow. Seeing as this blog hasn't been updated for an entire semester, I've dusted out the cobwebs and given it a new look. To whoever made the layout, thanks! I like the suitcase especially that little horsey in it. Colours are brilliant. If I know you and you've stumbled across this new post, I love and applaud you for being a loyal follower.
Last semester was hectic. I was studying on campus at Sentosa and naturally, being in a different environment meant that I had to adjust to new conditions. Sentosa is a place for playing and relaxing. I never got round to studying properly when I was there. I allowed my grades to slip. This is where I pick myself up. I'm aiming to be the same focused, motivation-driven individual I was in Year 1 when Sem 2.2 begins.
As with every term break, I've befriended the gym again. I'm hoping an overseas vacation comes my way so I can be rejuvenated. Oh, I'm crazily obsessed with Fringe, the tv series. It's another work of the great J.J Abrams who also produced Alias. You know, my heart breaks everytime I see Michael Owen in a United jersey. But as always, I will support him wherever he goes. This scenario just proves it.
As a kid, you always get asked what you want to do in life. Recently I've given my future some thought. My lecturers had advised against furthering our studies in tourism as a diploma is sufficient to join the industry. That piece of advice dashed my hopes of doing a degree in Adventure Tourism. Instead, I am now considering taking a degree in Animal Management after I graduate. So far the course at Kingston University and University of Chester appeals to me. Who's with me on this?
I've already caught 3 movies in the cinemas this break - The Proposal, Inglorious Basterds, and The Ugly Truth. Usually, chick flicks are not my cup of tea but The Proposal completely changed my perception of romance comedies. That movie definitely makes it as one of my all-time favourites, not to mention that the lead actor Ryan Reynolds looks very much like Owen. Inglorious Basterds was a bit gory but still entertaining to watch, especially with company like mine. Haha. I had high expectations for The Ugly Truth because everyone was raving about it, but it really let me down. The Proposal wins hands down!

So ever since the last time I posted, I've been up to a lot of things. I've received my Year One results, dropped by a class chalet, went to a concert, caught up with some secondary school friends, watched Marley & Me, Slumdog Millionaire, French movies on Okto, gymmed, baked, celebrated spectacular Liverpool victories and visited Sentosa.For this Mar/Apr school break, I've not been able to let my hair down because I'm taking a vacation-term CDS (cross-disciplinary subject) at school. It's called Global Citizenship. And apart from one-week long lectures and tutorials, there is a study trip to Beijing and Tianjin which required a huge amount of planning. Well the teachers did most of the planning, but we students were also kept busy preparing for a project presentation and our individual reflection reports. That said, I'm off to China from 29Mar-4Apr.
Yesterday while I was at Sentosa with Marianne, we took the skylift and luge. I spotted a few exotic birds nesting in the trees on the way up. As for the luge, I think I got more kicks out of the one in NZ. Then I conveniently decided to check out the Tourism Academy campus. I used my free access card for entry into Sentosa for the first time. (: Having worked at Sentosa before, Marianne doubled up as my tour guide.
Once there, we immediately got bitten by mosquitoes. We passed by the password-encrypted toilet. Haha. There's a heights element obstacle course in some part of the campus. And although the drinks vending machines in every other part of Sentosa are way overpriced, thank god the one inside the campus isn't.
Seeing as it's school break, I don't think I bumped into any student. But I saw the cleaning uncle and aunty sitting at the canteen, the chef returning to his office, a couple of tourists lingering around, and possibly some teachers walking by every now and then. We didn't wander long because we were feeling warm, sticky and itchy.
Then on 5th March, I saw this guy perform live in Singapore for the second time:

It was beyond awesome. I don't think it's necessary for me to explain why. Anyway when I like a band, I go all out to enjoy myself. Some people don't get why others would pay so much just to watch a music gig live. I say they're missing out on the thrill, the fun and the atmosphere. J began by getting us hyped up on Dynamo of Volition, then in no particular order, Geek in the Pink, You and I Both, Lucky (with Joi Chua), Sleeping To Dream, Make It Mine, No Stopping Us, A Beautiful Mess, Who Needs Shelter, Live High, I'm Yours, and The Remedy.
Towards the end, J played my favourite Mr. Curiosity opera style! (Y) Most people around me had already mellowed from exhaustion but I was really pumped. That was the only song in which he didn't play any instrument and was simply standing there grabbing the mic stand, singing his heart out. I'd watched a similar performance by him on Youtube but it still had that same amazing effect on me when I heard it. His high notes reverberated throughout the stadium, simply sensational. It took my breath away.
At the end of the last song, The Remedy, everyone chanted for an encore. Sadly but understandably, they didn't accede to that request.
Other thoughts:
1) If anyone from Sistic comes across this, hi! Next time allocate free standing please. Seats are redundant for a Jason Mraz live performance. Thank you!
2) They should have put up a Jason Mraz backdrop for him to perform against instead of the bare curtains.
3) Merch vendors, shirts at S$45ea? Too expensive.
4) Damn you, camera. (I was very mad that my photos wouldn't show up well in those poor lighting conditions, and in a fit of anger, got very determined to take up lessons on photography.)
5) If I were closer, I may have caught one of J's polaroids (it's a norm for him to snap instant photos of himself and his band and throw them into the audience).

It's so surreal that in a few hours' time, I will be on a plane to Vancouver BC. The trip was all I ever thought of since last Christmas. Can't wait to see Nic there!!!

The start of October was spent on 3 quiet days at Turi Beach Resort in Batam to do some soul-searching. Unfortunately there were some unpleasant encounters with power trips everyday, even during the middle of the night. Still it was peaceful there, but not quite my ideal island getaway. I guess the structures were traditional with attap and bamboo, so it didn't have quite the effect I wanted. I was expecting the stereotype umbrella beach chairs to be not just by the pool but also along the beach. And though the beach went on for stretches, there was hardly much dry, golden sand to be honest. Daniel Powter's Next Plane Home was the song constantly stuck in my head throughout my holiday retreat (though not to be taken literally). Anyway, let me share some photos of Mother Nature.

Oh my god, Kenny Dalglish is in Singapore. King Kenny! Now if only I knew his itinerary for the rest of the week. I missed the opportunity to head over to Turf City for the opening of the football facility. Ah, missed a rare opportunity to see a Liverpool legend in the flesh.
On a side note, I've finished my exams for the semester. Am so glad about it because I really needed a break. Now the long vacation period is here. I don't have lessons until the new semester starts on October 19! Might be going to Korea or Hong Kong.
Been hanging out with Nic ever since the end of my exams, occasionally also with Des or Adel. Nic's going back to Canada on Mon. :(
Right now I am so free that I don't really know how to spend my holidays. Might go searching for odd jobs. Or pick up drumming. I've kept my vigorous exercise routine going again. Didn't get much opportunity to do so during the school term. I just ran 5km yesterday and climbed the stairs back up to my unit instead of taking the lift. Felt really good after that.
Tennis tonight and badminton on Monday after sending Nic off at the airport. I'm going to see Yanyan and Sri! Yay, it's been a while.
By the way, does someone have cheap (better still if it's free) tickets to Boys Like Girls? I missed the registration for Nike + Human Race.
Meanwhile I have to wait for my dear JC friends to finish their promos so that I can go out with them. Study, you! Yes you. Get off the com.

Let me start with what I did on Tue: I was remembering the Hillsborough Anniversary on this day in 1989. For the benefit of those who don't know,
"The Hillsborough Disaster was a deadly human crush that occurred on April 15, 1989, at Hillsborough, a football stadium home to Sheffield Wednesday in Sheffield, England resulting in the deaths of 96 people (all fans of Liverpool Football Club). The match was an FA cup semi-final between Liverpool FC and Nottingham Forest FC. It was abandoned six minutes into the first half. The inquiry into the disaster, the Taylor Report, named the cause as failure of police control, and resulted in the conversion of many football stadiums in the United Kingdom to all-seater and the removal of barriers at the front of stands." I went to meet Marianne at Harbourfront. We bought sushi and chips before taking the Sentosa Express to that little island. We sat out in the sun for close to a couple of hours and saw TV crew filming on the beach. One was a volleyball scene and the other was uhm, a drowning/swimming scene? They took ages to film lah. Then at 2 Mari and I washed up and proceeded to the Sentosa Office on Tanjong Beach for her job interview. Drank slurpee along the way. Mine was a mix of sour lemon, green apple and cola. Shiok! (: I waited till past 6 for her interview to finish but the place I was waiting at was pretty comfortable. I actually fell asleep on the couch!
Thu was Business School orientation day 1. There were 9 LRM classes and mine was 1K09. Idk what the 'k' stands for. I wonder how we were even sorted into classes. Anyway as fate would have it, I ended up sitting next to Nana when I met fellow classmates at the convention centre. She also stays in Bukit Batok! My Chinese classmates mostly conversed in Mandarin and I realised how rusty my Mandarin had become lah. I sounded weird. English has always been my first language. I made the SLs (Synergy Leaders) for our class guess my sec school CCA. They said I look sporty so one guessed Tennis while the other said Track & Field. Hahaha. They also said I look like a JC student. Activities-wise, it was super boring. All we did was sit through a welcoming speech, learn mass dance, LT games and watch other people play tug-o-war. There wasn't even icebreakers. And my sunburnt feet were immensely painful which gave me a hard time walking around. :/
Day 2, Business School became 4th time champs! :D In the morning, we had to sit through a very long presentation in the LT. I found myself dozing off. We met our course manager Ms Susan Goh, who also happens to be Care Person for classes 06 & 09! Was given our matric card, handbook and timetable. I have no lessons on Mon and lessons on Tue start at noon! Whoopie. Oh, we were also told that all LRM students would be involved in F1! Omg. That was exactly what I told Nana I was hoping for, and it really came true. :D
Later the entire TP freshies gathered at the grandstand to cheer our respective schools in the Olympiad, which is a series of tasks. There was 11-legged race etc. We were packed like sardines to the extent that I couldn't even stand up without knocking into the people around me and the lack of personal space really sucked. I got quite annoyed after a while. I must say I also wasn't in the best of moods though. I woke up that morning with bloodshot eyes lah. Always happens when I get less than 3 hrs of sleep.
And random shit, I am going to get hammered like nobody's business football-wise. Han Chuan informed me that he, Karthik, Clifford and Hugh, are all United fans. It's the 4 of them versus me. At least there was only Marcus in my CJ class! I am so getting suan-ed x4.
Uhm back to main story, Business won the Olympiad. Then everyone headed to Bedok Reservoir for the Regatta aka dragonboating cum performances. Business got 2nd for the first dragonboating race, best-spirited award for cheers, I don't know what else... After which they announced us as overall champs and that was when all the Biz students really started cheering at the top of their lungs. Hahaha. Woohoo! Pleasant surprise, I thought we would end up 2nd. Towards the end, we got to watch a wakeboarding performance by Sasha, the national wakeboarder. Btw we had to sit on sloping grass and I felt damn itchy lah, spiders kept crawling up my leg. But in the end the big win made that a small matter. Haha.

I keep dreaming you'll be with me.
So I went to Novena Square 2 around noon yesterday and got to satisfy my craving for the best chocolate crispy waffle I've ever tasted. (: It's sold at a corner shop called Butter Cup and they've won a spanking good Culinary Award before. The only complaint I have is that waiting time is a tad bit long. But no big deal knowing what I'll be getting is quality food.
There was this guy at the entrance of a cafe/restaurant trying to get passers by to try the donuts he was carrying on a large tray. He told us, "Hey you want to try these donuts? Not very sweet." Marianne and I just burst out laughing after getting some distance away, cos what made him think we don't like our donuts extra sweet? Donuts are supposed to be sweet, right?
But my smile soon vanished. Some distance away, I could see an Indian man lying motionless on the floor by the wall. A Transitlink officer was crouching beside the body and a CID officer was on the phone trying to contact someone. The man, dead or alive I don't know, but there wasn't any blood visible. Perhaps he had a heart attack. That's our guess. I made up so many theories until the two of them didn't want to hear anymore.
Anyway we scrammed and cabbed to CJ. Stayed from 1 plus to 6 plus. Like I'd anticipated, it wasn't any fun actually. Su was so excited and crazily obsessed with the school. o_O In the canteen, I saw __ who was sitting at the next table facing me, so I told Denise he was my eye candy and she was being hundred per cent obvious that I like him! Omg. I tried to make things sound better but she ended up saying "BUT I KNOW YOU LIKE ANG MOH RIGHT?!" Embarassing x100. Even Spiff said she was embarassed for me. Omg!
During the 5 hours, I met quite a handful of familiar people. Nicole Liang was the first person I bumped into. Saw Nictay, Aloysius (Mah), Joanne, Annabelle, Fern, Sheryl, Hilda and Priscilla. Alex Poon crashed too. Val and Junyi came to look for me at the grandstand. Junyi stayed to chat for a while. (: I even saw Ivan, not sure if he saw me. Saw Elisabeth too. I walked past 1T01 and spotted Marcus. He was totally looking out of the window, not paying attention! Haha. They've moved back up to the fifth floor. Then Su insisted on wanting to see the netballers. We did see a few. I wanted to find Mdm Wee but didn't succeed. SOMEONE PLEASE LEND ME THEIR GC, I WANNA PLAY PUZZLE BOBBLE!
I ate wonton mee from Noodle King. I don't really miss it as much as the fruit stall! Their smoothies are so good. I had my mango ice blended. I need to go back for the oreo crush and starfruit-orange juice soon. Anyway, I sat with Michelle (from netball), Denise, Mari and Spiff waiting for the heavy thunderstorm to subside, then went home with Denise when it did. It was great to be talking to her again after such a long while lah. We talked all the way home. A pity I didn't get to meet Yanyan. It would have made the whole visit perfect, apart from seeing Adel too which I didn't get to. Hopefully there will be another time! I wanna crash sports carnival.
I'll be going back to STC in a couple of hours to see friends. It's Theresian Awards day.

I registered myself for TP freshman orientation workshop. It's being held from 7-9th April. Gosh, wonder what I've gotten myself into, this one was non-compulsory but we're 'strongly encouraged to go'. Don't know what to expect. I have another compulsory school orientation on 17th & 18th.
Other than that I am bored to death. Whenever I feel like going out, there's no friends to hang out with cos everyone's mugging their ass off in JC and I feel bad to distract them. Everybody's got their new friends to hang out with for the next two years too. They're like settled in already while I haven't even started... It sure feels strange. Anyway, it's been a good week football-wise with Liverpool's derby triumph and Owen scoring for Newcastle.
I was so bored the other day to the extent that I watched Singapore play Lebanon at home. Then I watched Gombak play Albirex Nigata just because I live there and also mainly, to see what Precious has been up to lately. Never had expectations for them, hence no disappointment. Want to hear something ironic? The Gombak players don't train at Gombak stadium. They use the one at Toa Payoh. What the heck right. I used to see them around all the time.
I baked again. White choc chip cookies this time.
Other than that I am bored to death. Whenever I feel like going out, there's no friends to hang out with cos everyone's mugging their ass off in JC and I feel bad to distract them. Everybody's got their new friends to hang out with for the next two years too. They're like settled in already while I haven't even started... It sure feels strange. On top of my regular gym visits which is pretty much what I've been doing besides going out for meals, using the com, reading, baking and doing chores for mum,

The quickest way from home to TP by train is 24 stops. Omg I would probably just sleep and miss my stop everyday. Also being in poly means I am no longer entitled to student fare! Wth.
You would think I'll be enjoying myself with all the free time I have until school starts in mid-April but truth is, not really. All my close friends have gone to the JCs, so I can't hang out much. They've only just begun but are already starting to feel the strain. Oh well. People say poly is easier, but I think it's not any different. I have a feeling I'll get my share of workload once term starts. I'll be so blur and lost on the first day. I don't know what to expect of poly life...
I'm supposed to find something constructive to do and I came up with a whole list of things from the top of my head, ie. drumming, picking up another language, working at pet lover's centre, to name a few. But currently, since there is only a month left and I might be tagging along on my dad's business trip, not to mention the outings planned with different groups of friends during the March hols, things are a bit hard to work out.

Okay, Simple Plan on 'The Noose' was completely anti-climax. I thought it would be something more than just an appearance at a press conference with this dumbass reporter throwing questions about global economic issues at them...
After-O's break is over and I've just been through my first day at CJ. It was more fun than I expected, but I guess it's the people that make it happen. My IG (index grp) and facilitators were good. I still can't remember half of their names though. There's already an IG outing planned for Friday. :O
This holiday practically went up in smoke. I spent the last day of 2007/eve of new year with some of my primary school classmates. Cycled at East Coast, Subway, chatted at some Marine Parade neighbourhood for hours, dinner at Suntec, arcade, Carrefour, rooftop, 2008 countdown outside Esplanade. And I still can't appreciate fireworks! I think it is a huge waste of money for 2 minutes of lit skies and loud explosions.
Then after midnight, the 11 of us (1 more guy than girl) took the night bus to Tiffy's house for sleepover. We took turns to shower and watched tv. Some of them went to play mahjong, cards or pool. I played a bit of pool. Free pooling without having to pay! No wonder some of the guys were at it the whole time. I didn't catch any sleep at all.
Later in the morning, we all left and went for prata! MILO DINOSAUR. Okay it's actually not that nice, I prefer Oreo Crush. After that, we chatted some more at the table before leaving for home. We had just spent the last day of 2007 and first day of 2008 together! A 20 hour outing. Record-breaking.
Orientation day 2 tomorrow. There was a subtle hint that we're going to get wet/muddy. Haha okaaay. But I can't wait for dragonboating next week! CJ's orientation lasts 6-7 days.

Seems like a lot are doing Science.
SAT
Out with Des, Sri, and Yanyan for badminton. Had a great workout. I sweat more than I would at the gym. After that Yanyan went home and we carried on. Made our way to Funan IT Mall. Ate at Pasta Mania. We finished 1 1/2 bottles of cheese flakes and was so full after that. Bananas in Pyjamas. Des and I's childhood friends. Are you thinking what I'm thinking, B2? Hahaha! Later, went to Peninsular Plaza where there's a shop selling football memoribilia. Aw paradise. Poor Sri had to wait outside for us because the place was tiny and we must have stayed in there for centuries. At night, I watched a Nicholas Cage movie called The Pledge on TV. It was awesome. Aaron Eackhart was in it as this fucked up SWAT cop. :/

Whole body was aching from badminton. Bought more baking stuff. Went back home, baked chocolate chip cookies. I'm so happy it could pass off as Subway cookies. Moulded some into shapes with the cookie cutters. Apparently the cookies are very addictive, cos Annabelle and Sri couldn't stop eating. :D At night, went to Long Beach for my brother's very belated birthday dinner. Saw the phone used in the When I'm Gone music video. It's Nokia 7500 Prism, I think. Slept early that night as I always do after a bad EPL game.

Uhm hi.
I called up the zoo on Mon but the receptionist told me to email my enquiries to them instead. I did so but who wants to bet with me that it's going to take ten thousand years before I get a reply? That's the thing with company/organisation inboxes. It's probably always flooded.
Honestly, I don't know what else to blog about. I don't tend to type anything very personal to me here because anyone can see it, and that includes people other than my friends... I haven't found a job or anything this long break. I guess I won't be doing anything, which is quite wasted because I really need cash to finance my dream England trip. If only I could get hold of legal odd jobs with a good pay.
Let's see, there's about 2 more weeks to go? And I have a few events lined up for myself but am pretty much free. I need to get some things done, like packing my room. Yeah, it's still in the same condition I left it while I was studying for O's. You know what? I feel like I'm needing another holiday...
I won't give up. I'll stay and fight.

"When we travel, we travel in style, and that is why this time around in Singapore, it's a little bit of a rough terrain around the country... so we're taking an excursion bus, to be able to go everywhere!..." LOL. Rough terrain my foot. ily seb.
I was at the airport the same day, too bad it wasn't the same time.
So I went to New Zealand, and it's really interesting there. Everything you see, people like us don't get to see much elsewhere. On the plane to Christchurch, I watched Underdog, Stardust and The Longest Yard. Immediately after touching down, I already saw sheep along the runways.
In all, I travelled to Dunedin, Queenstown, Milford Sound, Fox Glacier and Christchurch, passing many other smaller towns on the way. My parents and I did self-drive instead of following a tour so we had the liberty to do anything we wanted. I was the navigator for my dad so I sat in the front passenger seat with the big crazy maps. A lot of the roads were long and winding, so your driver must be a really good one. We saw many hitchhikers along the roadside, which was pretty cool. One of them looked like Blake from American Idol.
NZ is full of sheep, cows, deer, goats, horses, llamas and birds especially ducks. There were also many squashed possums on the road, if you count them. There were numerous waterfalls, gorges, hills, valleys, rivers, lakes and mountains, some of them still snow-capped because the snow hadn't melted from last winter. It's like you're looking Geography in the eye. Sceneries were breathtaking.
At Milford Sound, we took a short 1h 45min cruise but it was worth it. The cruise got right up to the waterfalls and mountains and we saw seals resting on a rock. I was out on the viewing decks the whole time despite the rain and gusty winds. The people at the cruise centre said a few dolphins were spotted in the morning before the storm arrived.
We also visited Deer Park Heights, where some of the Lord Of The Rings scenes were filmed. I got to feed llamas, goats, sheep, deers, a yak and a donkey. We went up by cablecar to Gondola Towers, where dad and I tried the luge. That's the thing they have at Sentosa too and it's only available in NZ, Singapore and Canada. We met a Singaporean who was working there.
At the cafe, I managed to grab hold of newspapers. Finally! My anxiety solved. Liverpool 4-1 Porto, the sports score update read. Also in the headlines, a rapist in Christchurch hitchhiking at 3am in the morning after committing the act. It gave me the creeps and I told myself never to pick any up if ever I encounter them in future, no matter how fit they look!
Then there was an incident the night in Fox Glaciers. I woke up startled because I heard something go bump in the night. It was 4.31am and there was repeated knocking on the toilet window for at least 15 mins. I seriously thought it was burglars but dad was snoring and mum still sleeping. I really didn't know what to do. The noise gradually reduced to one knock every half a minute. I think it was probably a bird pecking on the window. Hope it was anyway.
Soon enough, it was back to the airport to hop on the plane home. I spent a total of 8 days in NZ and had fun there. The locals were friendly and courteous. Even if you were just walking around town and they passed you, they would say hi or ask how you were. When you stopped for them at zebra crossings, they'll wave to thank you. I'll definitely be back there soon, and this time I'll bring along someone who wants to experience the outdoors with me. I want to kayak and bungy there, and basically try all the extreme sports they have to offer.

What you see above is my custom made blogskin. It's weird I know. I've never made one in my entire life, what more just by using your normal paint application. I played around with it a million times but never got what I wanted. It was supposed to be this 3-piece puzzle sort of thing with polaroids for background. This is the closest I've arrived at, all in 2 hours. Failed... but I really like the image.
In other new updates, I want to do odd jobs to help finance myself for the England trip with Nic in 2008. The problem's that job searching is a tedious task. Actually it would be good if I can find an author who needs someone to type out his or her novel. If not I would just consider working at a pet shop or offer dog-walking services. That's the best. Sounds far-fetched? I think so too. It's as if I'm living in Europe.
I think The Game Plan is a very awesome show. The Rock makes a great actor, which kind of surprised me. But The Game Plan reminds me of No Reservations because they have similar storylines except that the former is about rugby and the latter is about cooking. Anyway, the show I'm waiting for is Across The Universe. Beeeatles!
And I feel like time is flying by as usual. It'll be December in a week! I'm also rather gutted at not being able to catch Simple Plan live in Singapore. I'll be on holiday in New Zealand when they're here for their promo. Even if I couldn't get tickets to their private showcase, I wanted to welcome them at the airport at the very least. Now all those hopes are dashed.

So everyone, KEWELL'S IN SINGAPORE! Come say hello.
I'm going to watch him play this Saturday at the National Stadium. I'm already buzzing from excitement. The Aussie team arrived on Thursday and made a public appearance at a training session at Bishan stadium yesterday. Thank god Kewell and Viduka weren't due to arrive until today. If not, I would have kicked myself for missing the session. It was only Tim Cahill and the rest. He's an Everton player so there's nothing much to lose.
Yesterday was the barbeque at my house. The day started off at 8.45am when Nic came over for Tennis. We played from 9-10.30am. Then it was back home to shower after finishing a drink each at the clubhouse. After freshening up, it was multi-tasking time. We went through a couple of pics and some videos I had on my computer while cutting the pics for Peng's scrapbook. Lunch came. After lunch we started baking the cupcakes. When that was done, we went back to the room to watch Britain's Got Talent and Ellen Degeneares episodes where animals were brought on the show.
At around 5.30pm, Des called to say that 'they' were home. So some time after Adel came over, the three of us went down. The guests were Nic, Adel, Kat, Sri, Lin, Regine, Yan Ling, Fer, Wileen and Denise. There was enough food for everyone. Des brought her skateboard along. I was terrible at it and would have fallen if Adel had not pulled me up in time. Maybe I'll try again soon, this time with shoes and no handphone in my hand. And I think what Nic said is true -- I'm more comfortable on my own two feet. Cycling is perfectly fine for me but not skating, rollerblading and skateboarding. In other words things on wheels, or more accurately, things which I cannot use my hands to control. Nic and Adel were doing quite well.
I was sort of the chef of the day. Sri said I cooked like I was performing surgery and Nic looked like she was performing during thaipusam with that satay stick in her mouth while strumming her guitar. That was hell funny. I enjoyed listening to Nic, Adel and Des playing the guitar. Now pressure's on me to learn the drums. xD Dessert was the cake Lin, Des and I had baked from scratch the day before at Lin's house. We had had dinner there. Her parents are humourous people. Her dad gets so easily amused it's hilarious. So anyway we sang birthday songs for a few people (including myself xP) with our literally untitled cake. Then we more or less packed up and went back to Des's house. We all hung around for a while before everyone started leaving one by one. We managed to clear the food at least. It was a tiring day which passed real quickly but I thoroughly enjoyed Nic's company as well as all the rest at the barbeque.
Second semester of school starts in 6 hours. Help! I don't want to go back to school. :/

First whale, now I think I look like a beaver. You know the one in Narnia? Yeah that one.
I haven't been updating reason being I've been posting a lot over at Livejournal. I've posted 6 more entries over there after Jun 8. And I'm lazy to like post here too. Well basically quite a lot has happened since the last post.
Sun Jun 10 - Went shopping at Vivo. Bought 2 lovely new books from Page One. Dad got a new Nokia 6300 and I love all his games! 3D snake, soccer (football), and sudoku! Soccer is really fun. I wasn't sure of the control keys at first and let in 2 goals, but after a while I finally got the hang of it and emerged to win, England 5-2 Portugal! :D I haven't played till full-time yet. Dad stopped me, hmph.
Tue 12 Jun - Brother's BMT (basic military training) graduation parade at Pulau Tekong.
Thu 14 Jun - Eng and Geog mock exams.
Fri 15 Jun - SS and Lit mock exams + Nic Mok's Birthday! Happy Birthday Nic! We went to her house and gave her a surprise.
Sat 16 Jun - Played tennis for the first time! With Nic and Des. They said I was brilliant for a first-timer.
This week - 6/2 '03 class reunion at Vivo later today. Math and Chem mock exams on Wed and Thu, English oral on Friday, tennis again on Sat and an evening barbeque with the usual classmates.
These things keep me busy, but I kind of like it! At least it's not work, work, work till I drop. That would be too much. Oh by the way! KEWELL'S COMING TO SINGAPORE! Okay I meant with the Australian football team but still, he's one of my favourite LFC players although he's only played twice this season due to injury. People I like always get injured. :/ Anyway, Nic is going to see if her dad can get tickets to the match.
And OoTP hurry come! I wanna watch Sirius on screen. And cry. Also, I have yet to pre-order TDH. Going to order by this week. Goodbye!

Anyway, I really wanted to read during this so-called holidays, but my mum won't even let me touch a book unless it's a textbook. I love reading Mystery novels. (: So since I'm not allowed to read, I resorted to WATCHING. Youtube and the tv are my havens.
Deal or No Deal gets boring after a while, but I don't know why I still watch it! And I'll be cursing at the person in the end because I knew he or she should have made the deal much earlier. I don't understand why the audience always tells the contestant not to deal. Hello, the contestant is their friend leh! Why are they sabotaging the contestant by influencing him/her not to deal?! That's often not the best of advice. I like contestants who go by their own gut feeling instead of getting infleunced by the crowd.
I've also been trying to watch the Channel 8 nine o' clock show but my mum always chases me away. I think the guy's very cute when he plays with the little boy ( I don't know their names), but other than that the actors acting skills are quite bad. I heard the show received a lot of criticism because of the new and inexperienced cast.
Then I've also been watching a bit of Jia You, Jinshun! But I just watch it for fun. I still don't like Korean shows. Heh. I am thinking of catching tonight's episode of Supernatural. It's about this possessed girl who goes to a church to see the priest, I think. Scary. But Nic loves the show so I'm going to see what all the hype is about (she said it's the guys who make the show worth watching lol). It'll be my second time watching.
As for Campus Superstar, I'm not supporting anyone. Don't think I will. Haha. But I like the Golden Retriever in their photoshoot! =D
You know how some of you think I look like a dinosaur/tiger/hedgehog/hamster? I finally realised what I think I look like. I look like a whale lah. Haha!
