I wish tomorrow was Thursday mid-day so I could momentarily throw up my books and go indulge in some shopping and chilling out.
You know you're loved when people are 'booking' for an outing with you.
Can't wait to see you Sri! Des! Adel! Denise! Junyi! Val! ;)
Oh my, I'm itching to exercise.

My favourite question out of today's exam:
1.20 The Liverpool Football Fan Club in Singapore can be considered a/an ________ group.
a) command
b) autocratic
c) friendship
d) lobby
e) objective
2 down, 2 papers to go.
I actually feel more confident that I did well for Microecons than Org Behaviour.

Harry (Kewell) helped Galata win the Super Kupa! One goal with one assist. If you have trouble finding him, he's behind the yellow jersey-ed guy. Uhm I guess the pic's too small for detail anyway. Final score: Galatasaray 2-1 Kayserpor. Unique cup eh, funny looking medals. Tis' still strange seeing Kewell with his new team-mates too.
Ah, I'm gutted that they're not showing Hearts Of Nineteen, the 7pm Channel U show, now. They're showing the Superband final, but the tv guide in Today didn't state so. Either that or all the clocks in my house are an hour behind time. Zzz.
Business Computing test went alright considering I wasn't very focused in revising. The day before I was still sitting on the couch watching Singapore's table-tennis team defeat South Korea. I guess lying in bed staring at the notes until you drift to sleep every few minutes does help too then. xP I did that for 3 hours past 4am, then it was up at 9am to get ready for school. Why a test at noon on a Sat? D:
Next exam is Microeconomics this Fri. My last paper ends the following Thu! Then it's vacation period until Oct 19th. I'm going to go on a high!
Contradictory to my above statement,
The effects of Singfest are slowly wearing off.
I need more adrenaline.
Melee is my anti-drug. ♥

I feel like doing away with a blog.
Seriously, I feel like I'm talking to myself.
Haha.
Anw, I'm currently super busy with projects.
Mid-sem tests also begin next week.
I'm v stressed trying to keep up with my high self-expectations.
Not doing as well as I wish to so far.
I'm considering a move to the other side of Singapore soon.
My term break starts Jun 7.
Friends, let's meet up then! I miss all of you so much.
I really do. :)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY KEVYNA! Primary school bestieee. ♥

Sigh. The heat has become unbearable these couple of days. What I want to do when I wake up every morning is to switch on the bloody aircon.
Simple Plan are going to perform in Japan for 4 days towards the end of May without making a stopover here. People are talking about them appearing at Singfest but somehow I doubt so. Then again, they promised to be back this year! I'm keeping my hopes up here, especially since they're not playing any shows near the Singfest date. I say doubtful because so far they're only playing shows in Canada for the month of Jul-Sep. Ah... whatever. My semestral exams fall on 22 Aug till 5 Sep. D:
I just found renewed love for Jason Mraz today. I'm Yours. ♥ I'm also in love with You And I Both and Life Is Wonderful, among others. He makes soothing music. I enjoy the way he performs and he seems like a nice guy to be around too! Mhmm. (:
It's been some time since I bought CDs... I'm thinking of getting Every Second Counts Deluxe Edition (Plain White T's) and Sleep Through The Static (Jack Johnson). And I still want my Goodbye Blues. Jason Mraz's latest album, We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things will be out May 13! I'll see if it's any good and if it is I'm gonna get that one too. Btw, check out Jason Mraz's official website! It gives me the lols.

Lots of blogging to do... Let's see.
Last Sat. Celebrated Danny's bday with her and Des. Arcade at PS. Drum mania, I'm stuck at a C grade. So far only perfect score in practice rounds. My aim is an A in Russian Roulette man. Ajisen dinner. Town. Pacific Plaza. Lovely Red/white/black pair of Nike dunks. Both Des and I love it! But I recently bought a pair already. Cute Paul Frank shirt with a band graphic at the front. Alas it's above my budget. Borders. Sat there with Danny reading Neil Gaiman kids stories until her parents arrived to fetch us home.
Sun. Spent with Kat, Yanyan, Regine, Lin, Fer and Weizhen. Barcadi. Raspberry's nice! Des and I brought them down to the clubhouse for pool. Kat left early, we went to the bball court with Des's bball and skateboard. I can finally control my speed on the skateboard. Next step, direction. Dinner. Ordered pizza, smuggled into KTV room. Ate. Watched Spiderman.
Mon. Straight home after school to study for Geog CA. Woman from Music Junction called saying my pre-ordered copy of the SP album has arrived. Buzzing the rest of the day.
Tue. Geog CA. Games PE not as eventful as the week before in which I hit a homerun in softball. Had mock test in listening compre for Chinese lesson. Out with Valerie after school since my secondary school form teacher messaged midway and told me my testimonial wasn't ready to be collected from school. PS to get my CD and shop for vday gifts.
Wed. Math CA. Out with Sri after school. Met at Potong Pasir. Train to Harbourfront. Shopped at sports shops and gift shops. She bought me a stuffed dog for vday on condition I name it Chester. Subway lunch. Toys R Us. Des came. Shopped more. We each bought those personalised name keychain thingys. Standardised skull ornament at the end. Dinner. Picnicked at open deck area in Vivo.
Thu. V Day cum Friendship Day. Des overslept. When I finally got her on the phone, she said she wasn't going to school and I ran all the way from outside her house to the bus stop some 800m away. Reached school on the dot at 7.30. Had Chinese spelling. Found out I topped the class in listening compre with 9/10. Shocking! Went home, fell asleep. Met Des at 7.20. Lot 1 to catch a movie. Jumper. Not bad.
Fri. Mr Adrian Ho not present for physical PE. Mr Michael Tan takes over. Picks up a medicine ball and leads us to basketball court. I predict we're playing captain's ball. Was right. Edwin not on my team, which is a disadvantage cos he's big, tall and athletic. Goals were the basketball poles up to a certain height. I scored the first goal. Dribbling was allowed, so when I got passed the ball, I dribbled all the way, saw a teammate there and passed cos I didn't want to be self-centred and go solo. He took the ball, immediately took aim, missed. Dang, chance wasted there. Michael Tan then tweaked the rules, saying no one-two passes allowed. I think we lost 3-2, but both goals I scored. Second goal's more satisfying cos many of them were guarding me, especially Edwin who was right in front of me, yet I just turned and with my back to goal, tried my luck at a shot. GOOAL!
After school, went back to STC with a few people to collect my testi, then back to CJ for Rockafella. Envy the drummers. I keep saying I want to learn drums... It's about time I put my words into action.

I didn't do well. Inevitably I'm upset, but I'm moving on. In fact, I think I got over it fairly quickly. My combined humanities unxpectedly screwed me up. Well at the end of the day, it's really just a slip of paper and whoever judges me solely by numbers must be pretty shallow. Thanks to all who were concerned, especially Sri and Denise! Hopefully I will be able to stay in CJ with you both. (:
I really wish to stay on and should I fail to do so, I'll just settle for a poly course in Tourism and Resort Management or Sports and Leisure Management. It's time I actually sit down and look through the chunks of information the polys keep mailing to me. I refuse to consider any other JC but the one I'm currently in.
You know, it sucks being the one with possibly the worst results in my circle of friends, cos I can only sit and stone while they deservedly switch to celebratory mood. Des, congrats on your 6 points, and thanks for that huge treat! (ps. Why do you not like Barcardi lime?! Or lemon sorbet? :D)
Sorbet > Ice cream. B&Js is an exception.

It's almost 30 mins to 3 in the morning.
In contrary, I'm still feeling very awake. Perhaps due to the massive dose of The Hush Sound videos. (: My blog url came from them for your info. I am so loving them. Anybody I know wants to go with me if they ever come to play in Singapore? They're still very unknown around here which I kind of like, only thing is there aren't enough fans for them to even bother coming here unless they do a combined tour. Anyway, they don't know it but they never fail to make my day!
I'm hungry again. Always am after midnight, but there's nothing nice to snack on. I ran 5km a few hours ago. That could be another reason why I am so awake now, doing Biology TYS and using the computer at the same time.
Okay I think I'll stop here. Been getting pretty restless. I can't sit still for 20 MCQs before walking aimlessly around the house. And I heard quite many people are intending to wear dresses for prom night. I would if it was held at some high end place. Haha jk, too bad it's not anyway. Shall head to bed soon, can't go on with this empty stomach...

New url, new look! I was getting very, very sick of the old one. This layout is just temporary too, I want a personalised one and I already have some borrowed ideas in mind. In the midst of all the custom editting, I lost a lot of the original look, so sorry to the person who made this! I lost the credits too.
O's has lasted for too long, but at least there's just 2 non-written papers left, and just 6 days to go! Yeah that's it. I've kind of lost the ability to blog. Ha. Anyways, I went to the gym again after such a long time. Ran 3K! Timing slowed, but at least still able to run. Then I skipped dinner, so I'm extremely hungry now and my stomach's growling.
Today is just pure slack, I gave myself a self-declared break. Liverpool 8-0! I am still reeling from shock, joy, disbelief, pride, I don't know what else. Voronin's my man though he didn't score any goals, but he was instrumental! Did you see that backflick to Stevie G? Pure class. I never admired him until today.
Okaybye, I shall stop rambling and get something to eat.

My bffs are famous. How cool is that? I couldn't join them and I shan't dwell on that but anyway my copy of TDH arrived at my doorstep at 8am sharp. I flipped to the back for the ending, then 'sped read' the whole book in an hour and a half before starting on it right and proper. And I really didn't know prelims was in 8 days' time until the redemptorist mission team pointed that out to all of us last week. Oh wow. I don't care how but I really must do well to get into CJ. Four years ago you could have gone to CJ with 20 points, but now I think you have to get at least a 14.
I've had my share of fun moments the past few weeks. There's tennis, cake baking at Lin's house, tennis, barbeque with close friends, watching
However, one thing I'm dreading is that very soon, Nic will be ________ miles away from us! ):

Just a random thought which has got nothing to do with the main essence of this post... I think screwing up something that you're expected to be good at is still much worse than screwing up something that you know you're bad at.
For the whole week, I was in self deception. But at least it really got me through the week. I told myself that the socceroos were still in Singapore and believed that they would only leave today (yeah, even though their first match is against Oman on Sunday) when in fact the Australia team had already left for Bangkok on Wednesday.
Now that I've seen Harry play 'live', a step closer would be to get within 3m of him. I tell myself it's possible. After all, I was an arm's length away from Westlife at the airport when they came! As for Westlife, my next step is of course to get their autograph and a photo taken with them.
And you know, there are too many if's once again. If not for O's, I would definitely have gone to the airport. If not for O's, I might have gone to the hotel. If not for this... if not for that... I guess I'm not hardcore enough.
To the socceroos, Good luck at the Asian Cup!

First whale, now I think I look like a beaver. You know the one in Narnia? Yeah that one.
I haven't been updating reason being I've been posting a lot over at Livejournal. I've posted 6 more entries over there after Jun 8. And I'm lazy to like post here too. Well basically quite a lot has happened since the last post.
Sun Jun 10 - Went shopping at Vivo. Bought 2 lovely new books from Page One. Dad got a new Nokia 6300 and I love all his games! 3D snake, soccer (football), and sudoku! Soccer is really fun. I wasn't sure of the control keys at first and let in 2 goals, but after a while I finally got the hang of it and emerged to win, England 5-2 Portugal! :D I haven't played till full-time yet. Dad stopped me, hmph.
Tue 12 Jun - Brother's BMT (basic military training) graduation parade at Pulau Tekong.
Thu 14 Jun - Eng and Geog mock exams.
Fri 15 Jun - SS and Lit mock exams + Nic Mok's Birthday! Happy Birthday Nic! We went to her house and gave her a surprise.
Sat 16 Jun - Played tennis for the first time! With Nic and Des. They said I was brilliant for a first-timer.
This week - 6/2 '03 class reunion at Vivo later today. Math and Chem mock exams on Wed and Thu, English oral on Friday, tennis again on Sat and an evening barbeque with the usual classmates.
These things keep me busy, but I kind of like it! At least it's not work, work, work till I drop. That would be too much. Oh by the way! KEWELL'S COMING TO SINGAPORE! Okay I meant with the Australian football team but still, he's one of my favourite LFC players although he's only played twice this season due to injury. People I like always get injured. :/ Anyway, Nic is going to see if her dad can get tickets to the match.
And OoTP hurry come! I wanna watch Sirius on screen. And cry. Also, I have yet to pre-order TDH. Going to order by this week. Goodbye!

Blogger's working properly at last. I caught Pirates Of The Carribean: At World's End at the cinema on Monday after Chinese O's. It was a great movie, but I can't decide between PoTC 2 or 3 because to me, both are equally good. I didn't really enjoy the first installment which I caught on DVD. Now I want the soundtrack because I love Hoist The Colours a lot. The other songs are awesome too.
Well I've got nothing else to say except I don't know if I should drop A Math.

Omg midyr's over. And I went straight home to use the computer. Not complaining though, town can wait till tomorrow. I wanted to 'celebrate' by drinking OREO CRUSH, but sweettalk wasn't open yet. I restrict myself to this sinful concoction once every fortnight and so far I've been living up to it! (:
I just had hiccups that was occurring at a regular interval of once every TWELVE seconds. It was so annoying. I looked it up online and discovered that a noral hiccup happens at THIRTY second intervals - not twelve! I was so irritated that I turned to home remedies.
1) Stick your fingers in your ears / stick a finger in the back of your mouth, which has a similar effect as creating pressure in your ears -- but gagging is even less fun than the hiccups.
2) Get scared silly. Have you ever, out of frustration, yelled at a crying child -- who, as if on cue, suddenly stopped? Scaring your vagus nerve may shut it up, too. Having someone surprise you can overwhelm the vagus nerve, though this method is probably best reserved for the stout hearted who enjoy a good scare. (Reminds me of Bananas in Pyjamas! :D)
3) Pull on your tongue. Sticking out your tongue and yanking on it may stop hiccups.
4) Tickle it away. Tickling the soft palate of the roof of your mouth with a cotton swab may do the trick. Or, if you're the type who enjoys getting tickled, it may be more fun to have someone find your ticklish spots.
5) Hold your breath. Hold your nose and close your mouth -- the way you would when you're ready to jump in a pool -- for as long as you can or until you sense that the hiccups are gone.
None of them worked lah, though I didn't try no. 3. In the end I just followed what Adel's grandma taught her -- take 9 sips of water (SLOWLY). I took 10 and my hiccups stopped. I guess mothers know best.
PS. I love how Harry looks in this pic.

I just cooked my own lunch, the usual maggie with egg. Yummy! My mum and brother have been harping on about my weight. I know I've grown fatter okay, no need to rub it in. I blame the lack of exercise during this stressful, busy period, so thank you for boosting my self-esteem lah.
Right. Blogger is acting weird on me. There are errors on the 'create post' page and the font button along with a couple of other buttons have disappeared. Well at least the image tool is still intact, so here's a pic! xD
So you think I've been studying because I've not been online? My computer wasn't working because the on/off button was jammed. Apparently I pressed it too hard. Now I've got to be careful. Not having a computer for 3 days was hard to bear.
I've screwed up this whole exam, but I should at least try and get started on some mugging now and try to salvage the last few papers left. Oh yes, I should. Okay bye! :O
Can't wait for it to be over.

If you haven't listened to The Curse Of Curves by
Cute Is What We Aim For,
you're missing out.
Jeff (second from right) is fit! :D
After the last paper two Fridays ago, I didn't want to go home straight away, so I accompanied Adel to Expo to check out the place. I'm not a Fall Out Boy fan, trust me. Des had trng and couldn't come along. The storm was heavy but we made it there anyway. There were a lot of ang moh businessmen attending the conventions. Adel found the right hall and we saw 5 students already queuing outside whom were intending to stay overnight. When Adel was done, we took a long train ride home.
I did very badly for CA. Received many shocking and quite unexpected results - in the bad sense. How did I get my A* for PSLE English and Chinese? I can't even remember ever failing any important Chinese tests before. But I've not found anyone with a lower Chinese CA score than me. So excuse me if I decline offers to go out, I need to really drive myself up the wall. But I won't entirely coop myself up lah, cos I'll just die if I did. So yeah I'll still go out once in a while, so keep the offers coming! xP
Don't you sometimes wonder why everything (career, money, family, etc.) must revolve around education? They're all inter-linked. And in this competitive world, humans are actually racing against one another to be the best? Are Singaporeans happy? Surveys have shown that the answer is a straight no. Are humans even meant to live happy? I don't know. That's when the meaning of life comes into the picture. What are we living for? Right now I'm just following the path that's most taken. Achieve those results first, talk about the rest later. Yeah I know, I'm such a confused soul sometimes.
Last week was EFL week! The school had a redemtorist mission team come over to work with the graduating classes. It was enjoyable. Everyone kept laughing a lot. Isabel, Father Gerard, Viknesh and Jean all have contrasting personalities but every one of them are awesome people. The team mainly touched on issues such as spirituality, family and friendship. Although we're very much strangers to them, they were very forthcoming in sharing their personal experiences. It takes a lot of courage to share something so personal and I really applaud them for that. Getting to know Father Gerard also reminds me that priests are very much human beings too, they still do the things that some of us do as ordinary people like supporting a football team. Overall, the mission had a light atmosphere but my mind was prompted to wander and reflect a lot.
We have a week's school break this week but I have a 5 hour CMC (class management committee) training to attend on Friday. Sports Capt also part of CMC meh? :/ Save me. I don't think the 5 hours will be fruitful. There's only so much you can do. If people don't want to listen, then too bad cos that's not an excuse the teacher will accept, so just bear the consequences for not being able to control a class of humans like robots lah. I quote an article: "Any individual or group is too miniscule to try to counteract changes".
A leader must of course have followers, but the followers themselves have to strongly believe in the cause in order to influence more people. Who will strongly believe in jogging 2 rounds around the track, lining up in 4 rows and then doing the warm ups? It's just a class man. Therefore I conclude that the teachers should just chill. Leadership cannot be trained. You either have it, or you don't, and it all depends on the people you are leading.

Woah! I feel as if I've been super busy ever since the start of the year, but I suppose it's the preoccupation with Os that's doing this to me. Like Os is such a big thing yet school is still full of events to preoccupy our minds with. How can one focus for Os this way?! Anyway here am I taking a break from studying for CA (yes, it starts this week!) to bring you a backtrack of events that happened recently.
It was half day on Friday due to Fun Splash. I was called for health check before leaving school at 11. The nurse told me that I am suspected to have astigmatism. FYI that's a fault in the shape of the eye. I was quite shocked, but wasn't referred to specialist or anything. She just went, "Do you know you are actually not short sighted... Do you have astigmatism?" I don't know. So I told the parents when I got home and my dad says if I really do have, it's probably genetic cos both my dad and brother have too.
At Fun Splash, Joseph House got 2nd overall! It's history! :D I got Silver for 4x50m Relay. The Joseph relay team (Celine, Kathlyn, Stephenie and me) wasn't able to retain our Gold title that we got in 2006. I got Bronze in 2005 with a slightly different team. Nevertheless, I think they're all still good results considering I go for a leisurely swim only like once a year. Haha! xP
Celine grabbed me to participate in novelty race cos Joseph was short of participants. I also had to become lifeguard for the other novelty races. Mr Francis said get in and help them, make sure they don't drown. Haha. The sec 4 novelty race is based on luck only. Pick up chess piece, read the number on it, identify the bottle with same number and the next person bring that bottle across. The bottle contains a slip of paper with a random number. At the end of the race, the house with the highest value wins. I don't know why but the results are still unannounced? And for at least the third year consecutively, it always rains towards the end of the swimming carnival.
For house practice on Thursday, the sec 4s played Captain's Ball. Joseph house won! I played in 2 out of 3 games and was generally pleased with my performance. I made a few interceptions, scored a few points and did a very good block to deny Marie house a point (shorty me rocks! haha) . It was really satisfying. Ending the finals by stealing away their possession was the icing on the cake.
On Chinese New Year's eve, my family had the usual reunion dinner at home. The next day, we had lunch with the uncles and aunties from my father's side. My twenty-something year old cousin brought her ang moh boyfriend with her. She studied University in Manchester and met him there and they flew back together for this CNY! Haha, I practically went crazy inside lah!
Then it was over to my mother's side. We go there every year. The house where I sit on the sofa with my dad and brother and have people coming up to us to shake hands and exchange greetings. The house with the grandma whom I don't know in what way is related to me, but she always comes and talks to me, but I can't understand her and she will always offer me the snacks on the table as if I'm too shy to take them myself. It's also the house where I watch television without knowing exactly what's going on cos I'm not paying attention. Except, this year's slightly different because Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets was on!
The week leading up to Chinese New Year I was ill. Had high fever of 39.3 degrees C. Went to the doc. He said it was probably caused by my inflamed throat. But how did I get that inflamed throat? That is the question lol.
Anyway, Nic left for her vacation in the UK on Friday the 16th and I emailed her my shopping list the day before. I'm so happy that she got one of her greatest dreams fulfilled so quickly. I hope it's my turn soon, cos Anfield will become history when the new Liverpool stadium at Stanley Park opens in the 2009/10 premiership season.
Yup okay. I know it's quite abrupt but I'm finally done. That's all folks, goodbye! :D

Oh my, it's been 2 days since I last went online! It felt like a week.
Yesterday there was a short power failure in the afternoon. Was showering when the toilet lights went out. Then I wanted to study but it was too stuffy and warm without my fan so I decided to nap first.
Geog P2 today was alright but I'm likely to fail cos I left 3 questions worth a total of 15 marks blank! Knew the answers but had too much crap to write for almost every question, so I ran out of time in the end! Argh. I screwed up this whole EOY exam. Gotta buck up for Os next year man.
Chem P2 tomorrow. Then Math P1, Chem P1 and Geog P1. End of mugging after Thursday! YAY.
Seriously, blogging during exam period is like shit because your day is usually shit. For me at least. Everything that happens is more or less negative unless we're talking about what to do after the exams. Somehow everything is linked to exams.

Long gone are the days where you can get full marks for any Singapore school examination. I look back into my primary school report book and marvel at how I can possibly get so high for those exams. Mostly 90s and a few 100s in lower secondary. Secondary school paints a whole different picture altogether. Highest I'd ever gotten so far is 80 in English and lowest, an A Math failure.
In the midst of exams now, one week left till the end. Outcome has been disappointing so far. I've got to get myself to work harder! >.<>
